Educational Programs

The Poultney-Mettowee District and Partnership consider it a primary goal to be bringing together individuals and representatives of community-based organizations to help with education programs.

Our education objectives include:

5th Graders learn about Planting native tree species

• fostering an appreciation for and knowledge of the natural world among all students;
• encouraging responsible environmental citizenship among students and their families resulting in sustainable local ecosystems and communities/economies;
• devising a framework for coordinating and developing program activities and staffing/volunteers, and
• assisting in fund development to sustain environmental education programs for the long-term.
